Comparing student statistics among UCLA, Berkeley, Riverside and Merced

The University of California provides more funding per student for life science students because they require more learning resources for labs, experiments and other interactive lessons, said UCOP spokesperson Ryan King. While many campuses have almost equal numbers of life sciences and humanities students, schools such as UC Riverside and UC Merced also have fewer out-of-state students enrolled and access to private funds. This combination of factors leads to more diverse UC campuses seeing less funding overall.
