Transfer representation
The Bruin continues to be aware of transfer representation in our staff, notably in our editor makeup. The majority of staff members are non-transfer students. In all positions, transfer students from two-year colleges make up a larger share than those from four-year institutions. We strive to continue consulting transfer students who are currently on staff in addition to organizations such as the Transfer Student Center to understand barriers to retention and promotion.

25% of UCLA overall identifies as a transfer student, though there is no data available about what percentage of those students came from a 2-year college.
