UCLA, LACMA to host film and video event


Thursday, May 23, 1996

Beginning this Sunday, Melnitz movies is presenting, "The 1996
Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film and Video Festival." The program,
sponsored by UCLA’s Film and Television Archive along with the Los
Angeles County Museum of Art, runs at Melnitz Theater from May 26
to May 29. Films screen at LACMA today through Saturday. Melnitz
screenings include the L.A. premiere of "Once Upon a Time…This
Morning," a film from Thailand by Bhandit Rittakol, screening at
noon this Sunday. Also screening Sunday is "The Women Outside" at
2:30 p.m., "Halving Bones" at 4:30 p.m., ""How Old is the River" at
7 p.m., and "Bontoc Eulogy" and "Spirits Rising" at 9:30p.m..
Admission is $4 for students with I.D. For more info, call
