Construction Corner

Thursday, April 3, 1997

Investigative excavating for the DWP Water Main Relocation
project continues in Bruin Plaza. Work areas are fenced and Bruin
Walk pedestrians are detoured around the south side of the J.D.
Morgan Center.

Construction continues on the interior of Young Hall. Contractor
trailers are situated in the Slichter Courtyard inside the
fence.

At the Bradley International Student Center construction
continues. Trucks entering and leaving the site cause minor traffic
congestion on Circle Drive West near Strathmore.

The Brain Mapping Building is still undergoing construction.
Trucks entering and leaving the site cause some traffic congestion
on Circle Drive South near Westwood Plaza. There is crane work in
the street and the traffic is reduced to one lane in each
direction. Flagmen and cones are in place.

At the Gonda (Goldschmied) Neuroscience and Genetics Research
Center, construction continues with some minor congestion due to
steel deliveries.

The Law Library continues to undergo construction, with large
trucks entering and leaving the site. Flagmen on duty direct
pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Construction deliveries of
materials such as steel and concrete will cause some traffic
congestion on Circle Drive East periodically.
