stolen Grand theft Petty theft

Petty thefts Five parking permits, two
bicycles, a cellular phone and several wallets were stolen last
week, amounting to a total loss of $1,095. Someone broke into a
locker in a laundry room on the 3000 block of Sawtelle Boulevard
and stole $20 in cash Sunday. Police received a report Wednesday
that someone charged $299 to another person’s credit
card.

Grand thefts A wallet, watch and bracelet worth a
total of $3,700 were stolen from an apartment on the 600 block of
Landfair Avenue on Friday or Saturday. Someone stole a white 1992
Toyota Corolla on Friday. The person who reported the incident to
police placed the call from the Center for Health Sciences. Police
received four separate reports Thursday of cars, all parked in the
same garage on the 11000 street of Venice Boulevard, having their
windows smashed. In each case, someone stole a stereo or compact
disk player and CDs. These four incidents amounted to a total loss
of $1,930. Someone stole two gold teeth, worth a total of $800,
from the fourth floor of the School of Dentistry on Thursday.. That
same day, someone stole a laptop computer and cellular phone, worth
a total of $1,200, from a building on the 900 block of Westwood
Boulevard. Police received a report Wednesday that someone stole a
$3,081 radio from an apartment on the 1000 block of Gayley Avenue.
They also received a report on Oct. 3 that someone had stolen
furniture worth a total of $4,278 from the School of Law.

Miscellaneous Shots were fired near Olympic
Boulevard and Bundy Drive where a man reportedly dragged a woman
from her work place around 9:10 p.m. Saturday. He drove off in a
car with three other men. Someone was showing pornographic material
in the back of a dark 1990 Nissan at the University Extension
parking lot on Lindbrook Avenue Thursday night. A man wearing an
orange hospital wristband was yelling and fighting with himself
while lying on a sidewalk near the Seeds University Elementary
School on Thursday morning. He was transported to the emergency
room for evaluation. Police arrested a man in Rieber Hall for
possession of marijuana on Oct. 3.
