The Bruin asked students, staff, and faculty questions concerning the university's procedures, policies and people. Here are their answers.

Q: Who is John Wooden? A: “He was a coach
here, wasn’t he? Of basketball or football. One or the
other.”
-Matt Hellems, first-year chemical engineering student

A: “The person that donated money for the Wooden
Center.”
-Emi Yoshida, first-year business economics student

A: “The greatest coach of all time at the college
level.”
-Mo Robles, fifth-year chemical engineering student

John Wooden served as the UCLA men’s basketball head
coach from 1948-1975. He won 10 national championships.

“It is a type of boat. A sailboat.”
-Damond Choy, third-year economics student

A: “Some sort of car.”
-Jessica Mays, second-year English student

A: “Something associated with water polo. Like
“˜goal’ or something.”
-Claudia Mendoza, third-year political science student

A dinger is another word for home run. “¢bull; “¢bull;
“¢bull; Q: Who is Cory Paus? A: “He was a
golfer. He hit the most consecutive hole-in-ones.”
-Matt Hellems, first-year chemical engineering student

A: “He is an athletic student-player person. He played
basketball. He was a guard.”
-Damond Choy, third-year economics student

Cory Paus is a sophomore football player and UCLA’s
starting quarterback.
