1. Easton Stadium: This is the home field for the
UCLA softball team, who are in the NCAA World Series almost every
year. 2. Pauley Pavilion: Home to UCLA Basketball
3. Jackie Robinson Stadium: Named after the first
African American major-league baseball player. This is home for the
UCLA baseball team, which has had more players make the major
leagues than any other college team in the country. 4.
Chavez Ravine:
Also known as Dodger Stadium. Located not
far from the Staples Center, the home of the Dodgers sits atop a
hill and is bordered by the Golden State Freeway, the Pasadena
Freeway and the L.A. Police Academy. 5. The Rose
Bowl:
Not only is it the home of Bruin football, but the
Rose Bowl has hosted events ranging from the Super Bowl and World
Cup soccer to Olympic Games events. 2002 will be the first year
that the Rose Bowl game will not be played here, instead the
National Championship will be decided in Pasadena. 6. The
Staples Center
The only place in town that you can get
Clipped, Sparked, Avenged, King-ed and, er … Laked all in the
same place. This is the place for pro sports in L.A. as well as for
concerts and other special events. 7. L.A.
Colosseum
This former home of the Los Angeles Raiders has
been at the forefront of the city’s effort to house a new NFL
franchise. It’s not good enough for pro football, but our
cross-town rival USC calls it home sweet home. 8. L.A.
Sports Arena:
The only time you need to go here is when
the Bruins go up against the USC Trojans on January 9.
