Anti-war demonstrators forget pain of U.S. on Sept. 11

Retaliation by America is necessary after last month's events

What exactly are anti-war protesters protesting? I must admit
that I am not smart enough to figure some things out, so I will
thank anyone who has any input to help me answer some
questions.

Does the anti-war movement prefer the continued oppression of
women? We should not forget that the Taliban does not support
allowing women to get an education. Women are also not allowed to
show their face in public; they must be in the company of a man
when outside the home and often are victims of genital
mutilation.

Do these so-called “peace-lovers” think their own
acts of violence will help their cause? Every time we see or hear a
protest against the war, it is usually followed up by reports of
injuries and damage to property. There are all sorts of ironies
here.

Do they care that the World Trade Center towers also housed
day-care centers?

If I hear one more story about the starving children in
Afghanistan or how the people in Afghanistan are already suffering,
I may vomit. CNN and MSNBC will do all they can to show us pictures
of collapsed mud homes in Kabul and Jalalabad.

They will also tell us how many people errant bombs have killed
and injured. But they will not tell us about the hundreds of
infants killed inside the WTC. They also won’t tell us about
the people who jumped out of the WTC instead of burning alive.

I know a month is a long time ago, but let me refresh your
memories. We all awoke on Sept. 11, 2001 to the news that
terrorists slit the throats of female flight attendants and
hijacked four planes. Two of those planes were diverted into the
top floors of the World Trade Center towers in New York. One was
slammed into the Pentagon. Another crashed into an empty field in
Pennsylvania. Hundreds died in the planes. Almost 200 died inside
the Pentagon. An estimated 6,000 people died in the WTC towers.
Does any of this sound familiar?

Is the anti-war movement naive enough to believe that stopping
the bombing in Afghanistan will eliminate the threat of more
terrorism in the U.S.?

Our president has repeatedly told us that the bombing in
Afghanistan is only one front against the war on terrorism. The war
is also economic and strategic. The bombing of Afghanistan will not
eliminate the terrorists already in the U.S. ““ but it is not
supposed to.

The FBI, CIA, the National Guard and the new Homeland Security
Department will take care of us. We will bomb their homes, take
their money and find them one by one. I am confident in our
government’s ability to keep us safe. I only wish our
government would punish terrorists living in the U.S. as well.

Call me inhumane, call me an idiot, call me crude, call me
insane, call me insensitive, but I would rather see the complete
elimination of Afghanistan and other countries harboring terrorists
before I see one more American life taken.
