Women’s Team Contributors

source: Scott Schultz MICHELLE GRECO
Senior, G, Greco is the personification of a "go-to" player. She
has an uncanny knack for the game, and she is as capable of posting
a triple-double as she is scoring 35 points on any given day. Last
season, Greco led the Pac-10 in scoring and free throw
percentage.

NATALIE NAKASE
Junior, PG, Nakase is the linch-pin of the Bruins’ pressure
defense. In her second year as the starting point guard, Nakase has
become comfortable leading the Bruin offense.

MALIKA LEATHAM
Senior, C, If there were statistics kept ranking each player’s
level of toughness, Leatham would be among the conference leaders.
Although short for the center position, she makes up for her lack
of size with intelligence and positioning.

JAMILA VEASLEY
Sophomore, F, Veasley is an athletic forward who can run the floor
and clean the glass. She’ll see increased playing time in her
second year in Westwood.

SHALADA ALLEN
Senior, C, Allen has been extremely productive this season as a key
reserve for the Bruins. "She-She" is able to score points in a
hurry.

KRISTEE PORTER
Junior, F, Porter, who was second in the Pac-10 in rebounds and
third in blocks last year, is probably the best pure athlete in the
conference. Defensively, this leaper creates chaos for the opponent
in the post and on the perimeter.

JALINA  BRADLEY
Junior, F, Bradley has been able to make the most of her increased
minutes scoring with increased frequency. Her career high 13 points
in the recent defeat to San Diego demonstrated her ability to be an
alternative scoring option.

WHITNEY JONES
Sophomore, F, Jones, a starting midfielder for the soccer team, is
an effective spot-up perimeter shooter and a durable defensive
presence. She provides additional athleticism and a winner’s
instinct.
