Greg Goei Fourth-year Biochemistry
“Probably not. I don’t go online for anything besides
to check homework. Besides, I don’t really feel affected by
anything (USAC) does, since I’m only here for four
years.” Stephanie Russo Third-year English
“No. I don’t vote, no matter what it is. I’ve
never voted before. I just don’t vote for
anything.”” Michelle Berger
Second-year Cognitive science “Yeah, I would probably (vote)
if it were online, since it’s more convenient. Right now, I
don’t vote. I also don’t worry about the security
issues of voting online because I would vote from home.”
Robert Phung Fifth-year Mathematics “It
would. It’s easier to access information online, and it would
also be easier for candidates to talk to the voters online, about
what issues they’re (concerned with). It’s just more
convenient.” Sarah Jayne Daquioag
Second-year Psychobiology “Oh definitely, I think (online
voting) is more convenient since there are computers everywhere on
campus. With regular voting, you still have to go to the polling
stands, so it’s not as easy. But having both online and
regular voting would be best.” Omar Hakim
First-year Undeclared “I would definitely be more likely to
vote just because it’s a big hassle for a lot of people to
just physically get to the booths and vote. But online voting
shouldn’t be limited to just USAC. Statewide and national
elections should be online as well because it’s a lot more
convenient.” Speaks Out compiled by Idan Ivri, Daily Bruin
