Petty Theft

Someone used a crowbar to break into a vending machine in
Melnitz Hall and stole $300 – $400 between Jan. 3 and Jan. 10.

A $400 Bloomingdales blazer was stolen from the Center for
Health Sciences on Jan. 10.

A $350 computer monitor was stolen from Campbell Hall between
Jan. 8 and Jan. 9.

An amount of $215 cash was stolen from a purse in a desk drawer
at Bank of America at 924 Westwood Blvd. on Jan. 8.

Grand Theft

Suitcases totaling $1,000 were stolen from a garage on Sepulveda
Boulevard between Jan. 13 and Jan. 14.

Someone broke the back window of a 1999 black Volkswagen Jetta
and stole a suitcase cooler, gym bag and all their contents Jan.
13.

A silver flute valued at $1,150 was stolen from Schoenberg Hall
on Jan. 12.

A $517.63 bike was stolen on Midvale Avenue between Jan. 11 and
Jan. 12.

A 1995, light blue Honda Accord was stolen near the corner of
Veteran and Strathmore avenues between Jan. 11 and Jan. 12.

Three computers, two monitors and other electronic equipment
were stolen for an unknown loss from a construction site on the
corner of Veteran and Weyburn avenues between Jan. 9 and Jan.
12.

Someone broke open a lock and stole $4,800 worth of video
equipment from a room in Melnitz Hall between Dec. 12 and Jan.
9.

Medical equipment totaling $10,103 was stolen from an operating
room in the Santa Monica Hospital on Nov. 3.

Miscellaneous

Someone harassing people and refusing to leave the Bruin
Democrats meeting Jan. 14 was escorted away by police.

Two people were warned and advised of indecent exposure after
reportedly being naked in a vehicle on the top level of a parking
structure on Jan. 9.

Someone made three fraudulent purchases online totaling $85 with
an alleged victim’s checking account number in the Center for
Health Sciences between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.
