A 34-year-old UCLA Extension student was killed Thursday
afternoon in a traffic accident at the intersection of Westwood and
Santa Monica Boulevards, according to university police.
Police identified the victim as Grace Sato on Friday after
notifying her family.
According to police and witnesses, Sato was riding her bicycle
when she was struck by a cement truck. An eyewitness at the scene
said Sato did not appear to have been wearing a helmet.
