FedEx Kinko’s opens in Ackerman
An empty store was filled in Ackerman Union as FedEx
Kinko’s opened in place of Pulse Copy Center, which left at
the end of spring quarter.
Jayne Osbourne, general manager of Pulse, had said earlier this
year that Pulse’s lease was terminated, and the copy center
was asked to leave on June 30.
Pulse offered office services ““ such as faxing, outsource
printing and business cards ““ that could not be found
anywhere on campus, Osbourne had said.
Kinko’s replaced Pulse and opened its doors July 7,
offering a wide array of office, printing and shipping
services.
Along with the FedEx shipping signs predominately posted
throughout the store, Kinko’s provides unique services, such
as sign and banner printing. The copy center also will offer CD
burning and copying.

forced oral sex in the De Neve Plaza case will be retried
Tuesday.
Stringer will be retried on one count of rape and forcible oral
copulation, Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County
district attorney has previously said.
If found guilty, Stringer faces a maximum 16 years in
prison.
At the time of the alleged rape, the three defendants were
students of Carson High School and were visiting UCLA on a field
trip when they drifted from their group.
During the last trial, jurors were split 6-6 on Stringer’s
charge of rape and 7-5 on that of forced oral sex, with seven
finding him guilty.
Charges were dismissed for two of the three men accused of
raping a UCLA student in 2002.
