The 32 percent student fee increase was passed by the UC Board of Regents with Student Regent Jesse Bernal casting the only opposing vote.
Thousands of protesters remain outside of Covel Commons, where the meeting is currently taking place. Students have also initiated a sit-in at Campbell Hall that began Wednesday night.
