USAC Recap


The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government of UCLA’s undergraduate students. Council meetings are Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff 417 and are open to all students.

Agenda

“¢bull; There were no fund allocations presented or approved on Tuesday.

Special Presentations

“¢bull; Melissa Samson, next year’s Internal Vice President for the On-Campus Housing Council, introduced herself to the council as the liaison between the Housing Commission and the Hill.

Officer Reports

“¢bull; President Jasmine Hill noted the high volume of applications to work in USAC offices. Hill and Internal Vice President Stephanie Lucas are working on a project with the Center for Student Programming to find out more information about UCLA Student Groups, such as their demographics and number of members.

“¢bull; Lucas’ Strathmore Safe Ride program debuted last week.

“¢bull; External Vice President Chris Santos has a phone-calling campaign to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to bring the DREAM Act bill for a vote.

“¢bull; Academic Affairs Commissioner Suza Khy spoke on the Immigrant Youth Empowerment Conference that occurred over the weekend.
