Plugged In


Daily Bruin A&E is out and about on campus, seeing what students are listening to. We stopped four random Bruins with headphones on and asked them what they were listening to. Here's what they had to say:

Shant Davidian

How did you find out about the artist?: “I was watching some filmmakers on Vimeo and they were making a music video for them.”

Jane Fung
Fourth-year physiological sciences student

On the way to: the library to study
Is there a specific playlist you have for going to class?: “I usually just have my iPod on shuffle.”

Joelene Nguyen
First-year psychology student
Currently listening to: “Single” by Ne-Yo from the album “Year of the Gentleman” (2008)
On the way to: bus stop to head home
How did you find out about the artist?: “I first heard the song on the radio, 102.7.”

Dwayne Myhre
Second-year psychology student
Currently listening to: “Hero” by Hans Zimmer from the soundtrack to “Kung Fu Panda” (2008)
On the way to: his apartment
How did you find out about the artist?: “I like to listen to a lot of soundtracks, and more recently the Rolling Stones and Nicki Minaj.”
