“When I was a freshman, I went to Bruin Bash. T.I. was the performer. During the show, he walked onstage in a brown UCLA sweatshirt. My friends and I were in the front row, and everyone was pumped that he wanted to support the school.”

David Chen
Fifth-year, anthropology

“I went to see a screening of “˜Borat’ during my freshman year. (The free movie) was part of Welcome Week, and I went with friends from my floor that I’d (recently) met. The movie wasn’t great, but the experience was.”

Jasmine Chen
Fourth-year, molecular, cell and developmental biology

“I loved Pau Hana. It’s a dance performance put on by World Arts and Cultures students at the end of every quarter. This year, I was in two of the shows.”

Teresa Teng
Fourth-year, international economics

“I liked seeing “˜Milk’ in Ackerman. I went with one of my fraternity brothers. … I also loved when (former) President Clinton came (to the school). It was really inspiring to see the former leader of our country come to our campus and talk to students.”
