UCLA alumni James Zimmer and Cynthia Harper founded the Ballroom Dance Club and International Folk Dance Club at UCLA in 1995. The club, which is free and open to the public, drew students from all over Los Angeles Monday night to learn swing dance in the Ackerman Student Union’s second floor lounge at the club’s weekly meeting.
