From the archives: Jerry Brown, past and present

The second photo caption in the gallery contained information that was unclear and has been changed. Gov. Jerry Brown spoke at UCLA with several University of California student newspapers.

As the only California governor to ever serve non-consecutive terms, Jerry Brown has visited UCLA many times while in office. These two photographs, taken almost exactly 30 years apart, show a 44-year-old Brown during his 1982 campaign for the US Senate and a 74-year-old Brown speaking in support of Proposition 30 on 2012’s ballot.
