The verdict: Din Tai Fung specializes in exquisite steamed dumplings, but they also serve other traditional, Chinese dishes. Their dumplings were spot-on – the wrapping was thin but not at all soggy and the fillings were full of juicy flavor. The other dishes were also very good, but came in very small serving sizes. Each round of dumplings (around 10 golf ball-sized portions per round) is about $7-$10. I would highly recommend ordering the Juicy Pork and Crab Dumplings and the Sweet Taro Dumplings, but all the other dumplings are great too. On average, expect to order roughly 1-2 rounds per person in the group. There is a large parking lot, but it fills up very quickly on Friday and weekend nights, so if there is no parking, go to the adjacent lot on the right. There are no reservations, so if you come with a big party, come early and expect a minimum wait of 30 minutes.
