Town hall meeting Monday

What: The Undergraduate Students Association CouncilInternal Vice President’s office will host a town hall meeting for students to discuss student government bylaws and procedures with councilmembers.

When: Monday, 6-8 p.m.

Where: Kerkhoff 417

Who: All students can attend the town hall meeting. Internal Vice President Avi Oved and other councilmembers will facilitate the discussion and answer questions.

Issues for Discussion:

  • USAC stipend bylaws: Over the summer, councilmembers raised their stipends from $355 to $672. Discussion at the town hall will focus on a potential bylaw amendment that would prevent future councils from raising their own stipends.
  • USAC resolution reform: Oved said he wants students to be involved in restructuring the process for resolution creation so future resolutions include more student feedback.
  • USAC appointment process: Oved said he wants to gather student input about how to increase transparency in USAC’s appointment review process.
