Californians march at 29th Annual Kingdom Day Parade

Southern Californians gathered on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in South L.A. to celebrate the country’s most venerated civil rights leader, who would have turned 85 this year. The Congress of Racial Equality of California held its annual Kingdom Day Parade on Monday to commemorate the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr., who brought the ideas of racial equality and nonviolent resistance to discrimination to the national stage.
