Street Art for the Community

Hanging from a fence in the abandoned lot across from In-N-Out Burger, an intricate collage of black-and-white ink drawings forms a bird with a cardboard cutout reading a single word: love. The artwork was created by Gino Burman-Loffredo, a 31-year-old L.A. resident who now makes positive street art to display on fences around the city. “People love positive art,” Burman-Loffredo said. He creates this art as a counter to the negative billboards people are forced to see and as a distraction from the one-track lives that many students lead. Watch to discover the story behind his hashtag “#heallosangeles” and how this artist believes that positive street art can help our community.
