UCPD found girl missing from UCLA Medical Center

University police are searching for Sarah Abera, 17, who left the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Monday morning. (UCPD)

Police said they have found a 17-year-old girl Thursday who left the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Monday.

Sarah Abera had last been seen at 10:17 a.m. Monday on the fourth floor of the hospital, according to a university police alert.

Abera lives in Santa Monica and is known to spend time in the Venice area.

Academic student workers and graduate student researchers represented by the United Auto Workers union recently ended a nearly six-week strike in which they called for better working conditions and equitable wages. The contract stipulates pay increases for all workers – for some, pay increases of up to 80% – as well as anti-harassment policies and increased childcare support.
