Sophomore guard/forward Jonah Bolden underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Tuesday morning to treat a slightly torn meniscus in his right knee, according to the UCLA sports information office. The injury will sideline Bolden for about six to eight weeks.
Bolden, who was ranked the 69th overall recruit in ESPN’s 2014 men’s basketball recruiting class, missed all of last season because of academic ineligibility. The 6-foot-10-inch, 215-pound guard/forward is expected to be one of the main candidates to replace standout forward Kevon Looney in the starting lineup in the 2015-2016 season.
