UCLA student assaulted with bottle at fraternity house

University police is searching for a man who hit a UCLA student with a bottle during a fight at a fraternity party late Saturday.

A man entered Sigma Phi Epsilon’s house on Landfair Avenue about 11:30 p.m. with an unknown number of other people, all of whom were not invited to the party, according to a UCPD alert. A fight broke between residents of the house and the group, and a man struck a UCLA student with a bottle.

The student reported minor injuries.

The man was described as Hispanic and about 20 years old with a thin build, short black hair, some facial hair and multiple tattoos, according to the alert. He was also wearing earrings.

No further information was available. The case is still under investigation.

UCPD recommends students be aware of their surroundings.
