UCLA women’s basketball guard Nirra Fields was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury with the 32nd pick in the WNBA draft Thursday.

Fields, who played four years in Westwood, averaged 15.3 points per game this season as she helped lead the Bruins to their first Sweet 16 appearance in 17 years. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference team three times and is set to graduate in the spring.

Fields is just the first Bruin to be drafted by a WNBA team since Noelle Quinn in 2007. Quinn was considered one of the best, well-rounded players in UCLA history according to her school bio, and played for the Minnesota Lynx, Los Angeles Sparks, Washington Mystics and Seattle Storm before settling with the Mercury in 2015, where she will play alongside Fields.
