UCLA women’s water polo played host to the 2016 NCAA Championships. The hosts finished third behind champions USC and runner-up Stanford. The Bruins opened the tournament with a win over the UCSD Tritons in the quarterfinals a day before losing to the Stanford Cardinal in the semifinals. UCLA ended its season with a 5-4 win over Michigan to claim third place in the tournament.
