Photo: Minority Report draws attention to historic racism and inequality

UCLA held Minority Report, a theatrical performance that aimed to educate students about diversity and race relations, on Tuesday. The department of social welfare at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs held the event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Broad Art Center. The goal of the performance was to educate people about racism and the socio-economic conditions of minority communities. The event examined the stories of Emmett Till and Tamir Rice, men who were shot and killed because of racism. It also looked at interracial dating and the 1921 race riots of the district Greenwood in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was comprised of successful black Americans at the time.
