A tree fell on the roadway between Sunset Boulevard and Westwood Plaza on Tuesday afternoon, blocking the roadway while damaging a vehicle and injuring a driver.
UCPD Lt. Kevin Kilgore said the tree fell around 2:50 p.m. and struck a vehicle stopped at the traffic light on Westwood Plaza between Sunset Boulevard and Charles E. Young Drive North. The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in the fall.
The road reopened at 4:45 p.m. after UCLA facilities workers cleared the tree.
