33-year-old man arrested after he allegedly peered into Hill resident’s window

University police arrested a man Friday evening after he allegedly looked through a female student’s Courtside residence window, according to a UCPD press release Tuesday.

Ivan Andrew Diamond, a 33-year-old Los Angeles resident, was charged with Peeking Into an Inhabited Dwelling and Providing False Identification after being arrested Friday evening, according to the press release. Diamond is not affiliated with UCLA.

Peeking Into an Inhabited Dwelling and Providing False Identification are both misdemeanors under California state law.

A UCLA student called the UCPD Friday evening to report a man looking into her Courtside residence hall window, the press release said.

UCPD officers found and arrested Diamond, who was still on campus, around 30 minutes later. Diamond gave officers a fake name, according to the press release.

The victim later identified Diamond as the person who looked through her window, according to the press release.

Diamond’s court date is set for Jan. 11, 2021 at the Los Angeles International Airport Courthouse.
