UCPD searches for suspect reportedly involved in off-campus hot prowl burglary



University police are looking for a suspect reportedly involved in an off-campus hot prowl burglary early Friday morning. 

The incident occurred in an apartment at the 11000 block of Strathmore Drive around 4:05 a.m., according to a UCPD crime alert sent Friday. 

The suspect reportedly touched a sleeping resident’s “intimate body part” and fled out of the apartment’s rear entrance, according to the crime alert. 

UCPD described the suspect as a white man around 25 years old with brown hair, a short beard and mustache. He was around 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build and was wearing a dark T-shirt, the report said.

The victim is a UCLA student, according to the crime alert. 

No injuries or related vehicles were reported.

This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
