The Bruins closed out the Waves in four sets during the opening round of the National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship and advanced to the semifinals against The Beach. UCLA faced Long Beach State during the 2018 final but lost in five sets. Although it raced to a 2-0 advantage, the blue and gold ultimately fell again to Long Beach State in a reverse sweep.
