UCPD searches for suspects reportedly involved in off-campus armed robbery



UCPD is searching for two suspects reportedly involved in an off-campus armed robbery Sunday morning.

The incident took place on Westwood Boulevard near Lindbrook Avenue around 5:45 a.m., according to a UCPD crime alert sent Sunday night.

The suspects reportedly drove their car up next to the victim, and one suspect exited the car, pointed a handgun at the victim and stole the victim’s phone, wallet and backpack. The suspect then reentered the car and both suspects fled south on Westwood Boulevard.

The victim is a UCLA staff member, according to the alert.

UCPD described the suspect who exited the vehicle as a man around 5 foot, 8 inches tall wearing a black ski mask.

The suspects were seen in a red two-door 2018 or newer Chevrolet Camaro with a hard top and a black hood.

No injuries were reported as related to the incident.
