UCPD investigates reported on-campus sexual battery of UCLA employee



UCPD is searching for a suspect allegedly involved in an on-campus sexual battery and attempted strong arm robbery Tuesday night.

The incident took place at Boelter Hall around 7:55 p.m, according to a UCPD crime alert sent Wednesday morning.

The suspect reportedly approached the victim while the victim was working in Boelter Hall and slapped her buttocks. The victim reportedly then took out her phone to call the police and the suspect placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and attempted to take the phone out of her hands.

The suspect was reportedly male, 5 feet 7 inches, had short curly dyed blond hair and was wearing a black backpack, black sweater, black pants and black shoes.

The victim is a UCLA employee, according to the alert.

No injuries or vehicles were reported as related to the incident.

This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
