The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists began a strike on July 14, 2023. The ongoing strike calls for increased wages, compensations from streaming revenue and protocols against exploitative uses of artificial intelligence in their negotiation with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
