Assistant Photo editor Michael Gallagher spent 24 hours exploring New York City. Gallagher took photos of the city that never sleeps, traveling through three of the metropolis’ boroughs by subway and walking. He observed some of the city’s greenery and local workers, and even made it to one of the Big Apple’s beaches. Though his journey was not all that eventful, Gallagher’s photos showcased a city that always has something going on.
