Gallery: Weezer voyages to Intuit Dome as part of the ‘Blue Album’ 30th anniversary tour

The newly constructed Intuit Dome hosted Weezer along with openers Dinosaur Jr. and The Flaming Lips on Oct. 11 for the arena’s 25th concert. The alternative rock band put on an intergalactic display – complete with fictional asteroid belts and broken spaceships – for a plot-driven anniversary tour. In between tracks, the band collected parts to fix the spaceship so it could deliver the four musicians to the Blue Planet, which was faced with an eco crisis that could only be fixed by the Blue album. Throughout this journey, Weezer played its eponymous debut album in full as well as a selection of songs from other projects – including tracks from “Pinkerton”, the Red Album and the Green Album.
