Well, how do the crosstown foes stack up against the Bruins?
Assistant Sports editor Connor Dullinger’s got the scouting report for us, which you can read right here, but a short overview:
USC’s offense may start and end with its standout rusher, Woody Marks, but the team’s defense truly struggles to stop the run. The Trojans rank 50th in the nation in rushing defense, allowing opponents a healthy 4.24 yards per rush.
And yes, UCLA’s ground game did in fact struggle against Washington last week. But it proved more than capable through the Bruins’ three-game win streak. It’ll be up to junior running back T.J. Harden to capitalize on the Trojans’ defensive vulnerability and command the ground game.
