Redshirt junior J.Michael Sturdivant was UCLA’s most praised wide receiver before this season, expected to lead the Bruins in receptions.
Blatantly, he hasn’t. He’s been underused for how talented he is, and we haven’t seen much of him in recent games. In fact, there’s less talk about how little he’s playing because we’re getting accustomed to it.
He just joined tonight’s action – snagging a 15-yard pass from redshirt senior quarterback Ethan Garbers to start UCLA’s final drive of the second quarter.
The drive ends with a pass from Garbers to freshman wide receiver Kwazi Gilmer to the USC 21.
