In the news:



Multiple fires remained active in Los Angeles County at 11:45 a.m., according to CalFIRE.

The largest of the three fires, located between Pasadena and Altadena had a size of 10,600 acres and was being dealt with by a combination of the county fire department, Pasadena fire and the United States Forest Services, according to the CalFIRE Website.

A fire in Sylmar had a size of 700 acres and a fire in the Sepulveda Basin had a size of 30 acres, according to CalFIRE. Both fires are being dealt with by the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

The nearest fire to UCLA’s campus, which started in the Pacific Palisades, is currently just over 2,900 acres in size and is being addressed by multiple departments, according to CalFIRE.
