Air quality on the UCLA campus has improved and is now categorized as “unhealthy for sensitive groups,” according to the UCLA Air Quality website. It had previously been designated as “unhealthy” at around 10 a.m., when the reading was at its worst.
The designation means that people with heart and lung diseases, older people, children and pregnant women may be impacted by the air quality. Campus buildings are recommended to close windows and doors.
