In an Instagram post shortly before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, USAC President Adam Tfayli expressed his sympathy with those impacted by the fires in Los Angeles in a statement on behalf of the council. He also encouraged students to monitor updates on USAC social media accounts and local news coverage.

“We will continue to keep you informed and work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our Bruin family,” he said in the statement.

Tfayli also shared a list of resources – including shelter locations – in the post.
