USAC President Adam Tfayli said members of the UCLA administration – including Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Monroe Gorden Jr. – told him they are considering sending a preemptive message to students providing details on what to do the event of an evacuation and added that he has encouraged administrators to do so.
He also said talks are ongoing within the UCLA Academic Senate about plans for instruction next week.
Tfayli, a resident assistant, said he has been told that an estimated 7,500 students have left the Hill – over half of the Hill’s capacity – and added that he believes over 10,000 students will have left campus by Friday.
