The death toll from the LA County fires rose to 10, the LA County Department of Medical Examiner announced Thursday evening. Of the 10 deaths, two were from the Palisades Fire, the fire closest to UCLA, said Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley.

According to the Department of Water and Power website, a boil water issue has been issued for parts of Los Angeles County. LADWP is recommending that residents north of San Vicente Boulevard only use boiled or bottled water for drinking or cooking until further notice. Residents in Westwood received the notice around 5:25 p.m. from the Los Angeles Fire Department via text message.
