In the news:

Chancellor Julio Frenk posted a video to the UCLA Chancellor Instagram detailing how he walked around campus and through the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to ensure campus operations are maintained. Frenk said there is increased demand on UCLA Health because of the fires, so he wanted to ensure the “health needs” of the community were met.

Frenk added that UCLA Facilities Management has been clearing the brush from around campus and that administration plans to release further information later today regarding campus operations into next week.

“I would like to urge all of us in the middle of the loss – acknowledging the loss – to also mobilize that reservoir of kindness we all have,” he said in the video.
