As fire evacuation zones get closer to the UCLA campus, two senior campus administrators outlined plans for if an evacuation order is issued. Students living on the Hill should report to Pauley Pavilion, and students living in University Apartments should report to the Tipuana Apartments if an evacuation is called, said Administrative Vice Chancellor Michael Beck and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Monroe Gorden Jr. in a Saturday email.
Undergraduate Students Association Council President Adam Tfayli said transport will be provided for all students, including those who do not live in UCLA Housing.
As of 1:55 p.m. Saturday, there are no evacuation warnings or orders covering the UCLA campus. However, an evacuation warning is in place for an area directly bordering the campus, and people have been ordered to evacuate less than one mile from the campus perimeter.
