Several administrators from the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life said in an email to students in the Greek Life community that UCLA has a multitier evacuation plan in place if needed. These tiers include sheltering-in-place, moving to certain nearby locations, moving to Lot 36 by Wilshire Boulevard and bussing students away from campus, they added in the email.

Students living off-campus in Westwood Village should report to the Tipuana University Apartments if an evacuation order is given for the village, according to an email to those students Saturday evening. Administrative Vice Chancellor Michael Beck and Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Monroe Gorden Jr. asked students who received the email to fill out a form indicating whether they were still in Westwood and providing contact information.

‘UCLA will provide transportation to an off-site location for those who need it,” Beck and Gorden said in the email. “Please pack essential items into a single bag or suitcase that you can easily carry. ”

As of 6:20 p.m. Saturday, no evacuation order has been issued for Westwood or the UCLA campus.
