In an email to residents of her constituency, Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly Mitchell said the local health emergency declared by the county Department of Public Health remains in place. Residents of the county should not use power air blowers until further notice because of air quality risks, she said.

The air quality at UCLA has been rated as “good” for nearly 24 hours, according to the UCLA Air Quality Dashboard. The UCLA campus is not currently under an evacuation warning or order as of 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

The Office of CA Insurance Commissioner will host workshops for those impacted by the fires, Mitchell said, adding that LA County Parks will provide camps for children impacted by the fires until Jan. 31.

The Los Angeles County Registrar’s office is waiving fees to request copies of personal and property records for people impacted by the fires, Mitchell said. People should also report price gouging – where stores or service providers raise prices by at least 10% during an emergency – to the LA County Department of Consumer & Business Affairs, she said.
