A fire has broken out east of Interstate 405 near the Getty Center.
The Sepulveda fire has burned 10 acres as of 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Watch Duty app. The fire is “topography-driven” and burning at the Getty View Park in the western part of Bel-Air, according to Watch Duty, which is also reporting winds of 10 miles per hour in the area.

The fire – located about 1.8 miles from UCLA – is the nearest to the UCLA campus a wildfire has come since the beginning of the outbreak of fires across Los Angeles County.

The UCLA campus is not under an evacuation warning or order as of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, which was yet to report the fire on its site as of 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, though an evacuation warning now borders campus as of 12:15 a.m. Thursday, according to Watch Duty.
The Palisades fire, which was previously the nearest fire to campus, has burned over 23,000 acres as of Wednesday evening but is 70% contained, according to Cal Fire. The fire resulted in an evacuation warning adjacent to campus from Jan. 10 to Friday.

If an evacuation order is issued covering the UCLA campus, students should report to Tipuana apartments or Pauley Pavilion to await further instructions, according to a Jan. 13 Bruins Safe Online Post from UCLA Office of Emergency Management spokesperson Seán Devine.
